The Tirta Tapta Pemali  Hot Spring is a worth visiting tourism destination in Bangka  district. It was discovered by Banka Tim Winning Bedrijf, B.T.W, the tin  mining company of Dutch colonial government. After the Indonesian`s independence,  it was taken over by the Indonesian government, then was changed into the state  owned tin mining company named Timah Ltd. It was reconstructed and developed  for tourism destination by Timah Ltd in 1970`s. 

The water of the Tirta  Tapta Pemali Hot Spring comes out of the land; it contains sulphur substance.  It is also used for health therapy and relaxation for any kind of diseases.  There was a Thai whose left hand was scratched as he was careless when  operating a tin drilling rig in Bangka  district. After being treated for several times, his injury got well, but he  could not move his hand anymore. Until the day, he submerged into the Tirta  Tapta Pemali Hot Spring for several times. His hand got better gradually. He  had proven the efficacy of the Tirta Tapta Pemali Hot Spring as the right place  for medical treatment.

Cakalele Dance

Cakalele Dance

Cakalele dance is a traditional dance from Maluku Province that is performed by 30 people either male or female. Male dancers wear war clothes dominated by red and yellow color. Not only that, they also hold parang (swords) on the right hand and salawaku (shields) on the left hand and don aluminium hats decorated with slipped feather on it.

Female dancers wear white dresses while holding handkerchiefs – in local language called lenso. During the performance, they play in groups consisting of two dancers while keeping dancing followed by the music of tifa (percussion), flute, and bia (flute made of big sea shell).

Tari Kebesaran, another name of Cakalele Dance is commonly performed to welcome honoured guests such as religious scholars, and government officials visiting Maluku. Tari Kebesaran means the pride dance.

Some of the distinctive features of the dance are the clothes, the swords, and the shield (salawaku). Each of them has its meaning such as red clothes symbolizing heroism, bravery and patriotism of Maluku people. Likewise, the swords symbolize the dignity of Maluku people that must be kept. The last one is the shield (salawaku), the symbol of protest againsts injustice government.

The Uber Bay Beach is  located in Rambak village, Sungailiat sub-district, in the district of Bangka,  Bangka - Belitung province.  The access to The Uber Bay Beach is about 40 km from Pangkal Pinang  and three km from Sungailiat. From Pangkal Pinang, you may use your own transportations  for about 45 minutes. You may also take any public transportation from  Sungailiat, but you must take becak motor (The motorized pedicab  transportations) from Sungailiat bus station. However, you must consider that  the cost of taking becak motor will be more expensive than any public  transportation. There is no public transportation in the evening. Therefore, it  is better for you to take your own cars, but you have to be careful in driving  since in the some parts of the access to the destination are broken. In  addition, around 30 meters from Rambak village‘s intersection, there are many  holes in the road, so you must be more careful. There is Sedjati Chinese Temple  nearby the Uber Bay Beach  that was built in the 19th century. In addition, a hotel nearby the  location can be an alternative for spending more days there.

Pekon Hujung is a village situated in the slope of Mount Pesagi which has typical architecture of West Lampung District. Its nature, culture, and traditional architecture are the enticements for tourists.

Since 2005, the village was planned as one of tourism destinations in Lampung Province. Thus, the local government refurbished the access to the location so that it can be accessed by car. Moreover, the local government also planned to build some guesthouses for visitors who want to take rest around the location for several days more.

“Rasakan Keaslian Hidup di Pekon Hujung” (Feel the nature living in Pekon Hujung) is the motto of the village. Its location in the slope of Mount Pesagi is the place where Kebut Pesagi celebration is held annually. Here, you can feel the tranquility of surrounding area which has fresh air and alluring nature.
