Situ Patengan

Situ Patengan derives from two words of Sundanese language, Situ means lake and patengan means searching for each other. Such derivation has its own history that is, when a couple who loved each other had to live in separate. They were Raden Indrajaya and Dewi Rengganis. As they suffered a long term of sadness, their tears caused to flood a land that in recent it is known as Situ Patengan (Lake Patengan). Finally, they could meet each other after a long term of being separated, but Dewi Rengganis asked for an island to be located in the center of the lake and likiwise a boat for hanging around the island. An island called Asmara Island/Sasaka Island in the center of the lake is assumed as the shaping out of the boat of the couple.
